Generation Earthshot invites students aged 10 + and their teachers around the world to join in with the mission of The Earthshot Prize: to discover the best solutions to help repair our planet. The initiative is the result of a partnership between the The Earthshot Prize and The World’s Largest Lesson.
Generation Earthshot isn’t a competition, but it is inspired by The Earthshot Prize.
The Earthshot Prize is a new global prize for the environment, launched in October 2020 by Prince William and The Royal Foundation, designed to incentivise change and help to repair our planet over the next ten years. The Prize is backed by The Earthshot Prize Council, a global team of influential individuals including Prince William, Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, Sir David Attenborough, Shakira Mebarak and Christiana Figueres.
The World’s Largest Lesson is committed to introducing children and young people everywhere to the Global Goals, or SDGs. World’s Largest Lesson is delivered in partnership with UNICEF, with the support of UNESCO, along with many other NGOs, private sector organisations and foundations. In 2019 World’s Largest Lesson reached 17 million children in over 130 countries.
